Tourist arrivals in Palawan reached 128,000 in 2000. These increased to 177,000 in 2004. Koreans make up for the largest arrivals in terms of proportion (30%) and growth rate (about double). This is followed by Japanese (11%) although arrivals show a decline. European arrivals increased while Americans significantly decreased.
